Stainless steel is an alloy of Iron with a minimum of 10.5% Chromium. Chromium produces a thin layer of oxide on the surface of the steel known as the passive layer. This prevents any further corrosion of the surface. Increasing the amount of Chromium gives an increased resistance to corrosion.
According to the surface treatment, stainless steel can be divided into black rod, sour white rod, bright rod, grinding rod, according to the raw material type can be divided into:
304 stainless steel rods: used for tableware, cabinets, pots, auto parts, building materials, food industry, medical equipment.
316 stainless steel rod: good corrosion resistance, heat resistance, good mechanical properties, suitable for pots, food industry, building materials, medical equipment, auto parts, etc.
316L stainless steel rod: used in marine and chemical industrial environments.
317 stainless steel rod: used in printing and dyeing equipment.
420 stainless steel rod: suitable for surgical hand knife, the material is bright.
430 stainless steel rod: good shape, poor corrosion resistance, used for decorative purposes such as car accessories.
