Application
Low carbon steel presents an exceptional ease of processing, allowing for versatile forging, welding, and cutting capabilities. With a carbon content below 0.25%, it is known as soft or mild steel due to its lower strength, hardness, and enhanced softness. This category includes both ordinary and high-quality carbon structural steel. Typically, low carbon steel is fashioned into angle steel, channel steel, I-steel, steel pipes, steel belts, and steel plates, which are then utilized in creating a variety of structural building components, containers, enclosures, furnace bodies, and agricultural machinery. High-quality low carbon steel is refined into sheets for producing deep drawing products like car cabs and engine hoods. When fashioned into bars, it serves to create mechanical parts with low strength requirements.
